iGoogle Home Page

iGoogle is a start page tool where you can aggregate all the Google resources you use on your online desktop, eg gMail, Google Calendar.

  • "My iGoogle page is the one I return to minute by minute throughout the day. It has links to my calendar, my most used bookmarks, weather and news and a Twitter app. It really does function like a virtual desk, and is available wherever I am working." Helen Whitehead

Sign in with your Gmail account and choose "iGoogle."

   Soovle - combined search tool

File, Phone, Conference Call, etc. Drop

I use this a lot to save files or notes in "the cloud" so they will be available to me anywhere. Be careful! There is no way to recover a lost username or password so choose your drop name and password carefully. (It will also allow you to receive a fax or phone message!)

This is the big one! I'm listing it here, under Personal Productivity, because of the way it can be used as your primary launching pad for all of what you do. It is a specialized web page that you can personalize and make changes to almost instantly. Be sure to sign up as an educator because PBWiki is very friendly to teachers and will give you special features. Watch the video below and then jump in. You can create as many free PBWikis as you wish so be sure to create one to just play around with---you can't hurt anything so pretend you're a four-year-old and have at it.
